What's on in Alexandra, Victoria


Alexandra is a small Victorian town located about 25 kilometres west of Eildon, at the junction of the Maroondah Highway and Goulburn Valley Highway. It lies in the rich Goulburn River valley and has many links to the Gold Rush days and irrigation developments in the Shire of Murrindindi. Historic sites include the Timber Tramway and Museum, the Post Office and Law Courts. Key local events include the an annual art show at Easter, the rose festival and the annual agricultural show. One key event that attracts a lot of visitors is the annual Truck, Rod and Ute Show in June. Alexandra is located on the Goulburn River and fishing and boating are popular recreation activities.
