Balhannah is a small thriving tourist town located in the Adelaide Hills Region about 30 km southeast of the centre of Adelaide. Balhannah began in 1839 and developed as a rural service centre for the local farming community. It has been transformed to mostly focus on tourism as an integral part of the thriving Adelaide Hills Wine Region, which is very popular for day tours, week-end trip and longer vacations.re many wine tours in the area and you can follow the local wine trail.
