Moulamein is a small rural service town and holiday centre located in the heart of the Murray and Riverina Regions in southern New South Wales. Moulamein and the surrounding locality showcases many attractions and offers a fabulous range of water-based recreational activities focused on the rivers and streams and the beautiful Moulamein Lake, that is popular for fishing, boating canoeing, kayaking and water-skiing. The heritage town of Moulamein is located about 560 km south of Sydney via the Sturt and Hume Highways. Moulamein is literally surrounded by lakes that offer wonderful habitats for birds and wildlife, including Lake Uranagang, Lake Moulamein and Nature Reserve with its stunning waterbird habitat. One of the major attractions and sources of information in the area is the Moulamein Dam Aquatic and Recreation Centre which is situated about 6 km west of the Moulamein city centre. Tourists and Visitors can enjoy such as water skiing, camping, boating, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. The beautiful Moulamein Bowling Club is pleasantly located surrounded by bushland on a bend of the Edward River. This club is the heart and soul of the social, sporting and entertainment life of Moulamein District and the surrounding townships and villages. The Tattersalls Hotel is the only remaining pub in town and features an historic, original Ballarat Bertie poster in the public bar.
