The small holiday township of Tomakin lies on the Eurobodalla Coast, in southern New South Wales, at the entrance to the beautiful Tomaga River. The popular holiday spot of Tomakin lies about 22 km south of Batemans Bay, 22 km north of Moruya and 12 km east from Mogo. The Tomakin area boasts a magnificent coastline and an array of beautiful beaches and inlets that are very popular for daytrip visitors, weekend getaways and family holidays. Tomakin is a very popular base to stay and discover all the delights of the famous Eurobodalla Nature Coast - National Parks, beaches, headlands, forests, coastline scenery, rivers and waterways. There is a licensed club in the village and the full range of entertainment and tourist facilities are available just a short drive north at Batemans Bay. You can
visit the popular and delightful Mogo Zoo, where a large variety of animals are kept in an open and attractive farmland setting. The nearby locations of Tomakin and Mossy Point have excellent boat ramps and wonderful angling. You can hire boats at Tomakin for fishing and scenic tours. The main fish species sought in the area are: whiting, mullet, luderick, prawns, bream, flathead as well as blue swimmer crabs in season. You can try fishing at the river mouth, near the rock walls, along the edge of the sand flats, from the jetties and adjacent to the weed and mud flats.
