Tura Beach, located on the Sapphire Coast in Southern New South Wales is a new resort that was developed recently to satisfy the increasing demand for much sought after beachfront accommodation and recreational facilities to take advantage of the Sapphire Coast`s magnificent beaches. Located just north of Merimbula on the road along the coastal road towards Tathra, Tura Beach boasts a modern shopping centre with a tavern, a high quality 18-hole golf course as well a fabulous beach suitable for the whole family. Driving a short distance further north from Tura Beach takes you to the fabulous Bournda National Park that boasts a set of magnificent waterways, beaches and a stunning coastline. The extensive wetland areas located near the mouth of Wallagoot Lake provide very rich habitats for fish
and many local birds and migratory waterbirds. The tidal wetlands also provide a valuable resource as a nursery for fish and prawns. Wallagoot Lake is famous for its prawns which can be caught with hand or drag nets and lights in the summer months. Additional entertainment is available in Maerimbula, Pambula and Eden.
