Yallingup is a small coastal holiday town in the South West Region of Western Australia, located about 250 km south west of Perth. Yallingup features sun, sea, surf, scenery, sauvignon, seafood all in a friendly seaside setting, Yallingup boasts a fabulous sandy surfing beach, plus a sheltered lagoon enclosed by a reef that is ideal for fishing, canoeing, kayaking swimming, and snorkeling. A huge array of boutiques wineries and cellar doors of the Margaret River Wine Region are located within a 30 minutes drive from Yallingup. There are many excellent bushwalking trails around the township. Excellent fishing is available from the beach, shore, rocks or boat. The Yallingup surf break is renowned world wide, and there are many other great surf breaks in the surrounding area. The region has some excellent snorkeling and scuba diving spots including wreck diving at Geography Bay. The very popular tourist spot of Yallingup Ngilgi Cave is also close to the town. There are many limestone caves in the Cape to Cape area of the South West Corner. There is a wide range of accommodation available at Yallingup and in the surrounding towns. Yallingup is a short ten minute drive south west of Dunsborough and Cape Naturaliste and lies within the Margaret River Wine Region and is also close to Busselton. There are many nature reserves nearby including the magnificent Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park. A major scenic attraction is the renowned Canal Rocks - stunning rock the rugged coastline near Yallingup. The popular surf breaks in the area are Yallingup Beach, The Three Bears, Smith's Beach and Injidup which have world-wide reputations. The beaches are ideal for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, angling and for a simple ay at the beach with your family or friends. A wide plethora of dining experiences to tempt your taste buds is available from the many fine restaurants and waterfront cafes at Yallingup and at the many nearby wineries that offer gourmet meals and local produce.
