holiday destination and on the magical Central Coast of New South Wales, north of Sydney and south of Newcastle.
Avoca Beach is one of a group or world-renowned surfing beaches that extend along the coast from The Entrance to MacMasters
Beach, with Avoca Beach being the most famous. Avoca Beach has an international reputation that attracts surfers from Sydney,
Brisbane, Wollongong and Newcastle on the weekends and in the vacation periods. The beach is patrolled by Life Savers
during the summer months and the vacation periods. It extends all the way between two prominent rocky headlands and is very pretty and inviting. Avoca Beach provides excellent surfing, wonderful swimming,
fabulous fishing, Kite-surfing and windsurfing and is a wonderful beach for the whole family or couples to enjoy and relax on. The shores of Avoca Lake, which is located inland from the beach, provides good conditions for children and for bushwalking. Nearby are MacMasters Beach and Cockrone Lagoon that are also popular with families. Copacabana Beach to the south of Avoca is another favourite surfinging and swimming beach that is patrolled during the summer months. There is a wide range of places to stay on the beachfront at Avoca. Gosford, WoyWoy have a range of hotels and recreation clubs that provide entertainment and amusement facilities including many restaurants and cafes.
