Copacabana is located between Mac Masters Beach and Avoca Beach on the Central Coast of New South Wales, north of Sydney. It is renowned as one of the best surfing beaches on the Central Coast and you can walk along the beach to MacMasters Beach. This wonderful region extends from the northern end of the Tuggerah lakes system south to the Hawkesbury River estuary (Lion Island). There are many shops at the Copacabana Village including a bakery, cafes, restaurants, take away outlets, a newsagent and a supermarket. Copacabana is enclosed by National Parks and conservation areas and has excellent bushwalking and scenery. Copacabana Beach is ideal for swimming, snorkelling surfing and all sorts of family fun. To the south is a beautiful natural coastal lagoon where you can go fishing, prawning,
canoeing or kayaking, or you you can relax and have a picnic on its shores. There are many excellent beaches in the local area such as Avoca, Terrigal and Forresters Beach. At Avoca Beach where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bottle store, pubs etc. Gosford is main entertainment centre.
