Ingham is located in North Queensland about 220 km south of Cairns and 100 km north of Townsville. It is the southern gateway to the Wet Tropics World Heritage area and is close to the coastal resorts accessing the Great Barrier Reef. Ingham is also gateway to the majestic Hinchinbrook Island, which lies North-East of the township. The region has a lovely suite of National Parks, State Forests and other nature reserves.
