Laurieton is a friendly, peaceful and attractive weekend getaway and holiday destination,
located about 300 km north of Sydney and 40 km south of Port Macquarie. In the local area there are a total of seven unique holiday villages and towns which combine together to form the famous Camden Haven district, which offers a wide range of attractions and activities for visitors. The region adjoins the Camden Haven River, and some of the local towns in the area include Dunbogan, North Haven, Kew, Kendall, Bonny Hills and Comboyne. The town of Laurieton has a range of hotels and clubs and its location at the mouth of the Camden Haven River provides a wonderful range of angling and boating opportunities. The nearby North Brother Mountain offers excellent views over the local region. There is a fabulous
array of lagoons, beaches and waterways to explore and enjoy. You can launch your boat at one of the many excellent boat ramps in the area. You can explore and try fishing in Stingray Creek, Watson Taylors Lake, Queens Lake and Camden Haven Inlet. The main fish species targeted are flathead, whiting, bream, and blackfish in the lakes and rivers. From the rocks, boating offshore and the beaches you can try your luck for tailor, leather jacket, rock, cod, jewfish, snapper and drummer. The array of spectacular beaches in the area are fantastic for canoeing, surfing, kayaking, fishing, diving and swimming, and the lakes are wonderful for a wide range of family activities.
