Lenswood's central location in the heart of the Adelaide Hills orchard area led to a large cold storage facility being established there in 1933 called the Lenswood Coldstore Cooperative. The facility now has storage for a huge quantity of fruit. The township of Lenswood is surrounded by rolling hills covered with vineyards and lush orchards.
