What's on in Lorne, Victoria
Lorne is a favorite beach resort and holiday town, located on the scenic Great Ocean Road, between
Aireys Inlet, Anglesea, Wye River. It is close to the many towns and villages dotted along the
Great Ocean road between
Geelong and
Warrnambooland not far from Anglesea. The main hub for entertainment is
Mountjoy Parade with its many cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars and boutiques arrayed along the foreshore at Lorne.
This creates a 'Mediterranean-like ambiance to the area which is part of the charm of Lorne.
Further south is Point Grey and its jetty from which the famous Lorne Pier to Pub, annual open
water swimming event is held. This event attracts thousands of visitors from Melbourne and interstate.

swimming spot with its suspension bridge an added attraction. The mountainous and intriguing Otway Ranges and
the Great Otway National Park, inland from to Lorne, provide opportunities for bush walking, mountain biking,
eco tours and enjoying the spectacular scenery, including Erskine Falls are located just 8 km west of Lorne.

The delights of many other towns along the Great Ocean Road are also close by.
