Meadows is a small rural town and tourist centre situated in the Adelaide Hills/ Fleurieu Region of South Australia. It boasts many craft shops, historic buildings, wineries and bakery. Visit the Prospect Hill Museum to learn of the heritage and history of the region. The nearby Kuitpo Forest is a popular haunt of bush-walking, bird-watching, picnics and BBQs. The beautiful wineries and cellar door outlets of McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek are just a 20-minute drive from Meadows. The Monthly Market is staged on the 2nd Sunday every month and features a wide variety of local produce including fruit, jams, vegetables, honey and eggs, plants, books, wine, crafts and collectables. Four Day Easter Fair, which features a large treasure market, local produce, stalls with a variety of treasures and collectables, arts and crafts, tools, clothing, plants, books, fleece, ceramics, toys, stamps, cakes, dairy products and preserves and much more. The are displays of local animals including sheep, ponies, alpacas, goats and mobile farm nursery. A display of handicraft and quilts and plants are on display in the local halls. Plenty of good country food is also available at reasonable prices.
