Moruya, a rural river town, entertainment and holiday centre is located about 15 km inland from Moruya Heads situated on the coast at the river mouth. Moruya is a fabulous vacation place for couples and families to use as a base for exploring all the delights of the Euorbodalla Coast in Southern New South Wales. Moruya Heads has a magnificent surfing an swimming beach that is patrolled during the summer months. The beach and headlands are also popular for beach fishing and boating. is ideal for canoeing, wind surfing, kayaking, bushwalking, mountain bikes, swimming, fishing, or just relaxing withy the family. The river is excellent for boating, sailing, canoeing and kayaking. Nearby are the townships of Batemans Bay, Tuross Head , Broulee and Tomakin Beaches, which have excellent entertainment and tourist facilities. Moruya is also the gateway to the delights of Deua National Park and the Araluen Valley in the hinterland areas inland from the coast.
