Mossy Point is ideally positioned as a vacation and weekender destination on the South Coast of New South Wales. It is perched on a headland - about 2 km North of Broulee, 20km south of Batemans Bay, about 250 km east from Canberra and 300 km south from Sydney. Mossy Point is located between the tidal inlets of Tomaga River and Candlagan Creek, both of which expand the recreational opportunities beyond the beach and diving for which the area is renowned. The lovely area surrounding the tidal entrance to Candlagen Creek offers great conditions for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, snorkelling and fishing. To the south of Mossy Point is the fabulous surfing, swimming and angling destination of Broulee Beach with its renowned feature of Broulee Island lying offshore and offering great diving and fishing
spots. There is a wide range of entertainment and amusement options in Batemans Bay including licensed clubs, restaurants, dive shots, fishing charters, major retail outlets and specialty shops, shopping plazas, cafes and a wide range of sporting and recreational activities. Holiday makers and tourist should ensure they visit the historic town of Mogo, that offers a delightful range of small outlets specialising in fine arts, crafts, gifts, and antiques and is home of the famous Mogo Zoo.
