Orient Point is a small and charming residential town and holiday village on the shores of Crookhaven River. It is located directly opposite Greenwell Point and ionly about 5 km from the attractive Culburra Beach, which is located at the mouth of the Cookhaven River. The six holidays towns of Callala Bay, Currarong, Culburra Beach, Orient Point and Greenwell Point are a major holiday centre located about 20 km south-east of Nowra and 200 km south of Sydney. These centres offer many attractions and activities and are very popular for angling, all types of boating, swimming and surfing. There are excellent mooring facilities and wharf amenities at Orient Point and Greenwell Point, which are well protected from the prevailing wind and sea swells. The scenic Crookhaven River is a angling mecca and Orient Point presents very good angling from the shore or boats. A magnificent range of fish species can be targeted on the sandy shorelines, breakwaters and rocks and from the rocky headlands near the mouth of the Crookhaven River. Orient Point is a splendid location for a vacation with a broad variety of places to stay and very good amenities for a broad kind of activities. Orient Point and Culburra Beach are perfect for boating, angling, swimming and prawning. Warrain Beach at Culburra is a fabulous surfing spot and has a surf lifesaving club and the beach is patrolled throughout summer. Also at Culburra is Lake Wollumboola is perfect for sail boarding, canoeing, kayaking and kite surfing. Scenic and Fishing Charter boats can be hired from Greenwell Point and Nowra offers a wide range of entertainment and amusement venues.
