What's on in Rosebud, Victoria


Rosebud is a popular seaside holiday town on the Mornington Peninsula, located about 75 km south of Melbourne, between the lower slopes of Arthurs Seat and the shores of Port Phillip Bay. Rosebud is the second largest town on the Peninsula, and is a favourite destination for holiday makers because of its shallow protected waters in the Bay, attractive coastline, great facilities, a lovely array of restaurants and entertainment venues, many of which feature live music gigs. There are a number of excellent surfing ('back') beaches on the other side of the Peninsula facing the huge swells of Bass Strait. The beaches are patrolled during the summer months and are great for surfing and fishing. Rosebud has a wide range of attractions, excellent tourist facilities for a variety of activities including: boating, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, craft abd local food markets, fine restaurants, wineries, galleries, and antique and craft shops. The peninsula has an excellent array of quality golf courses including the two 18-hole layouts of the Rosebud Country Club.
