Smiths Lakes is one of three interconnected lakes in the The Great Lakes Region, located about 290 km north of Sydney. There is a network of waterways connecting the magnificent Wallis, Smiths and Myall lakes. The Lakes district features a beautiful array of peaceful bays, surfing and swimming beaches, charming lakes, stunning waterway. There are a host of attractions, and recreational and entertainment facilities that are ideal for a relaxing holiday. The nest way to see it is to hire a house boat for a week or more. Smiths Lake is situated between Myall and Wallis, and is about 20 km drive south of all the delights Forster with its many pubs and clubs. The lake has many secluded lakeside beaches with sandy sheltered shallow areas that are ideal for swimming and boating, especially for children.
There is stunning surfing at Elizabeth, Boomerang, Blueys Beaches, which are only about 20 km away. Seal Rocks is also nearby boasting its magnificent scenery and lighthouse and excellent fishing and boating.
