The Sydney Region runs from to Pittwater, Palm Beach and Broken Bay to the north, to Cronulla, Port Hacking and Bundeena to the south, and to Penrith, Richmond, Campbelltown and Windsor in the West. The Sydney Region adjoins the magnificent Blue Mountains, Illawarra and Central Coast Regions. The Sydney Region includes North Sydney, Sydney Harbour and the Central Business District of Sydney, all of Sydney's spectacular Northern and Southern Beaches, Botany Bay, Pittwater and Port Hacking and the southern, eastern, northern and western suburbs. Sydney is world renowned for its fabulous surfing beaches and spectacular harbour with the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Most of the thirty-seven fabulous beaches are situated within an hour from the CBD. Bondi, Manly, Cronulla and Palm Beach have an international reputation and are very popular with tourists. In the area to the South of Sydney Harbour, the most popular beaches are Coogee, Bronte, Bondi Beach and Cronulla. There is a huge variety of recreational facilities, attractions, entertainments, amusements and accommodation in Sydney providing something for everyone. Western Sydney is a major part of Sydney that includes 10 councils: Auburn, Bankstown, Blacktown, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, The Hills Shire, Holroyd, Liverpool, Parramatta and Penrith Councils.
