Tuross Head is a very popular holiday destination located on the South Coast of New South Wales in the Eurobodalla Region. Tuross has the advantage of two small beautiful lakes, Tuross Lake to the north and Coila Lake. Tuross Head has spectacular views and fabulous beaches. Among these are Tuross Main Beach and Coila Beach, both of which overlook Montague Island offshore from the beaches. The beaches and lakes provide wonderful recreational opportunities including: kayaking, surfing, sailing, swimming, kite surfing, canoeing, waterskiing, snorkelling, diving, a wide range of boating and excellent fishing opportunities. Most of the hinterland areas away from the coast are National Parks, recreational reserves and State Forests providing excellent bushwalking, camping and mountain bike trails.
You can hire kayaks, canoes and outboard motor boats for boating on the beautiful Tuross Lake. There are excellent places to eat in Tuross village ranging from take-aways to high class restaurants. Tuross Head is close to several very interesting villages that provide lots of attractions and entertainment opportunities. These villages include Bodalla, Central Tilba, Tilba Tilba and Cobargo. These quaint villages have a delightful array of local antique stores, art and craft shops, popular cafes serving cake with coffee and a variety of gourmet lunches.
