The famous Great Lakes on the Mid-North Coast are a magnificent collection of interconnected waterways, lakes and wetlands including Wallis Lake, Smiths and Myall Lake. The Lakes region is well-known for its outstanding beauty, its lovely clear waters poviding excellent boating and houseboat passage ways through the interconnecting waterways. At the entrance to Wallis Lake lies the renowned twin holiday centres of Forster and Tuncurry. These communities provide an excellent range of entertainment and amusements, including pubs and clubs with live entertainment. Wallis Lake itself is about 25km long and 9 km wide.
