The delightful vacation, weekend getaway and daytrip destination of Windsor is located just 60 km south-west of the Sydney City Centre. Windsor is a major commercial and service centre for the communities in the Macarthur Region. The University of Western Sydney is bases in this area. It is surrounded by National Parks and lies in the foot-hills of the Blue Mountains which offers extra attractions and entertainment options. Some of the local attractions in the area include art, water-skiing, swimming, culture, history, canoeing, kayaking, bushwalking, horse-riding, mountain bikes and rock climbing.
