Wooli is renowned as a small, secluded and quiet vacation getaway and angling centre that is perfect for a family holiday and couples wanting to get away for a peaceful holiday. Wooli Beach is ideally located right in the centre of the Solitary Islands Marine National Park and Yuraygir National Park. Natural habitats and unique flora and fauna are richly displaced in the area. Wooli has a wonderful range of facilities, attractions, activities and is ideally suited to swimming, surfing, bushwalking, fishing from the sandy beaches, rocky headlands and rock platforms and the shoreline. There are great boat ramps for launching a wide range of boats for off-shore fishing and diving trips using your own boat. You can also join various local fishing charters for guided cruses and angling adventures. Wooli has several shops and cafes, and there are a hand full of hotels and clubs nearby that provide live entertainment on Friday night and the weekend. You can hire kayaks or canoes or launch your own boat and craft and enjoy exploring the delightful waters of the Wooli River and its estuary. You will see the magnificent array of small mammals local birdlife, reptiles and other fauna and as well as the variety of plants. Wooli is also an excellent place for scuba diving and snorkelling and the famous Wooli Dive Centre has scuba gear for hire and offers a great range of tours, learn to scuba dive classes and various dive holiday packages.
